In A Nutshell
Briallen Moore is an Australian artist living and working in Malta. After graduating from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Briallen has developed her practice working with coloured pencils to create realistic artworks. She focuses on capturing still-life scenes and rendering them by hand, with an emphasis on appreciation for things that bring people together and the art around us that goes unnoticed every day.
Briallen believes still-life artwork and realism are more important than ever. As we enter a time where our spaces are diluted with images fabricated through AI technology, she aspires to maintain a heavy human element in her works. Why food? It’s what brings us together as people. We prepare it to give to others, express ourselves in how we make it, share meals with our friends and families, we pass down knowledge and learn about cultures with it. Briallen aspires with each artwork to invoke a personal memory for each viewer.
